Flemish architects at the Venice Biennale

In addition to to the exhibition in the Belgian pavilion, more Flemish architects will be present at the Architecture Biennale in Venice: Both Marie-José Van Hee Architects and Robbrecht & Daem Architects were invited bij curator David Chipperfield. Bovenbouw Architects were requested to take part in a group exhibition by CarusoStJohn Architects. Sint-Lucas students are participating in an international workshop which will be on display in the Australian and Slovenian pavilions.

On the occasion of the 2012 Architecture Biennale and on behalf of the Flemish government, the Flemish Architecture Institute (VAi) together with Flemish Government Architect's team  will organise the exhibition in the Belgian Pavilion in the Giardini, which will be curated by Joachim Declerck (Architecture Workroom Brussels) and a multidisciplinary team including the Dutch graphic designer Joost Grootens, French urban planners GRAU, Flemish architects De Vylder Vinck Taillieu and Flemish/German artist Ante Timmermans.

The 13th International Architecture Exhibition, curated by David Chipperfield and entitled Common Ground, will run in Venice from 29th August to 25th November 2012 (Preview on August 27th-28th).
