ROBBRECHT EN DAEM ARCHITECTEN - ANTWERPEN

Felixarchief

When the Felix Warehouse in Antwerp became vacant in 1975 after more than a century of use, it was not immediately clear what new purpose it might serve. Thirty years later, its new function has been found in its previous use: it has again become a warehouse, no longer for tobacco, but for the city’s archives. For its new function as a home for archives it was thoroughly renovated, restoring the grandeur to its 19th-century industrial architecture.
