At the end of May 2016 the Flanders Architecture Institute publishes Tailored Architecture, the latest edition of the Flanders Architectural Review, a book that is being published every two years. The edition 2016 will be the twelfth in this series of publications. In this book we focus on the architectural production in Flanders and Brussels, with special attention to the creations of Flemish and Brussels architects across the world.
Throughout the years the Flanders Architectural Review has become a reference for exploring Flemish architecture. Besides this overview, the book also shows the context where this architectural production takes place. It demonstrates that social, political and spatial developments take a big part in the design of these buildings.
