Bovenbouw Architectuur builds model landscape in Belgian pavilion at Biennale Architettura

The Antwerp-based office Bovenbouw Architectuur has been appointed as curator of the exhibition in the Belgian pavilion at the Biennale Architettura 2020 in Venice.

The scenography by Bovenbouw Architectuur shows a piece of urban landscape on a scale of 1/15. The architects explore a linear, winding landscape of a typical Flemish urban environment at table height.

The seventeenth edition of the Biennale Architettura runs from 23 May to 29 November 2020.

Books on Léon Stynen and Bovenbouw Architectuur win DAM Award 2019

For its publications Bovenbouw Architectuur. Living the Exotic Everyday and Léon Stynen. A Life of Architecture 1899-1990, the Flanders Architecture Institute receives the prestigious DAM Architectural Book Award.

The presentation of the DAM Architectural Book Award 2019 took place during the Frankfurt Book Fair from 16 to 20 October in Frankfurt.

Indian design collective Case Design on showcase in Antwerp

After an eye-catching appearance at the architecture biennale in Venice in 2018 and a stopover in Lausanne, Switzerland, Case Design has arrived in Antwerp with an exhibition of their most recent work. The office makes one huge plea for greater collaboration and empathy in architecture. In addition, the exhibition is a clear call to engage in circular building in a more authentic way, using local materials and expertise as the principal building blocks.
