Sofie De Caigny is RIBA Honorary Fellow 2024

The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) in London is one of the oldest and most prestigious architectural associations in Europe. Every year it awards individuals who have made a significant contribution to architecture but are not architects themselves. This year, nine people may call themselves RIBA Honorary Fellow, including departing director of the Flanders Architecture Institute Sofie De Caigny.

Belgian Pavilion at the 19th Venice Architecture Biennale
deadline 05.05.2024

The Flanders Architecture Institute invites architects, urban planners, designers, researchers, critics, and artists to develop an exhibition concept for the Belgian pavilion at the 2025 Venice Architecture Biennale. This call for submissions aligns with the 19th International Architecture Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia, scheduled from 24 May to 23 November 2025.

Proposals must be submitted by 5 May 2024.

Director of the Flanders Architecture Institute Sofie de Caigny will join the discussion on policies of urban sprawl and their impact on the economic sphere.
