The interventions of Venlet and Vander Maren are subtle and punctual. To begin with, they increase the readability of the spaces by providing a number of architectural elements with a color code. Doors leading to functional and non-private areas, are colored green; private doors are greyish pink. Other highlights are in a deep red or yellow. It makes the large, high spaces manageable and livable, by introducing some limits to the scale, the intimacy and the diligence of a hand movement.
The outside world is invited in this workshop at some places, and the workshop shows itself to this same outside world - it is the architecture that illuminates the border lines between inside and outside.
