This yearbook presents a survey of recent developments in architecture and environmental planning in Flanders and Brussels. It is prefaced by a number of articles offering a critical insight into the current estate of affairs and which discuss the role of architecture in town planning, public housing, official contracts and local government policy. The middle section comprises a selection of projects executed in 1996 and 1997.
