European Architecture Beyond Europe. Call for Short-Term Scientific Missions (STSM)

COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) is een Europees instrument dat samenwerking tussen onderzoekers ondersteunt in heel Europa. Sinds 2011 (tot 2014) ondersteunt COST het netwerk 'European architecture beyond Europe'.

Het doel van dit netwerk 'European architecture beyond Europe' is een beter zicht krijgen op de wereldwijde verspreiding van Europese architectuur via 19de- en 20ste-eeuwse (koloniale) mogendheden. 'European architecture beyond Europe' stelt zich tot doel bij te dragen tot het schrijven van een globale geschiedenis van de moderne Eurpese cultuur, met inbegrip van de overzeese expansie en transnationale dynamiek.

Binnen deze context van COST en 'European architecture beyond Europe' is er de mogelijkheid om financiële ondersteuning aan te vragen voor een kortetermijnonderzoeksverblijf (Short-Term Scientific Mission - STSM).

Aanvragen van een STSM

• Applicants can use the on-line registration tool to register their request for an STSM
• This filled out application form, together with a detailed work plan (max. 5 pages) and a complete curriculum vitae can be send to dr. Tom Avermaete, STSM coordinator of COST Action 'European architecture beyond Europe': t.l.p.avermaete@tudelft.nl
• The application it will be assessed by the STSM Assessment Panel which advices the Management Committee whether or not to grant the application.
• There is no specific submission deadline: applications can be submitted continuously.
• When submitting an application applicants need to specify to which of these thematic working groups the proposed mission belongs and how the planned activities and the selection of the hosting institution contributes to this aim.
