Alliances with the Real at Architecture Biennale in Venice

On 19 May at 5:30pm the Flanders Architecture Institute and the Diplomatic Representation of Flanders in Italy present the latest edition of the Flanders Architectural Review to the audience of the Biennale Architettura 2023 in Venice. Alliances with the Real showcases some of the most striking recent architecture in Flanders and Brussels and the surprising responses to the challenges we face today. An international panel of speakers will address the most important themes in the book.

In June, the Flanders Architecture Institute (VAi) and the General Representative of Flanders in the UK highlight contemporary architecture from Flanders and Brussels within the London Festival of Architecture (LFA). The event on 1 June is directly related to the most recent edition of the Flanders Architectural Review. During this evening we focus on the kinship between the architecture cultures of Flanders and London. Leading figures from both architecture cultures are invited for a discussion:

As Found: International colloquium on adaptive reuse

From 5 to 7 September 2023 the Flanders Architecture Institute and the Hasselt University organize the international colloquium As Found. It aims to bring together designers, researchers and students to discuss experimental concepts and practices to intervene in the existing built environment and heritage. The registration to the colloquium is now open.
