Hulya Ertas (1982, Istanbul) is coordinator of exhibitions and publications at the Flanders Architecture Institute. She graduated from Istanbul Technical University (Department of Architecture) in 2005, completing her master’s degree in architecture at the same school in 2011. From 2004 to 2020 she worked at the monthly XXI Architecture and Design Magazine, becoming its editor-in-chief in 2013. She completed her PhD at the Faculty of Architecture Sint-Lucas, Brussels, KU Leuven in 2024. She curates exhibitions, edits books, writes articles and does research. Her main focus is on architecture’s societal and political role and critical reading of socio-spatial practices.
