Belgian architects in Vienna to talk about adaptive reuse
On 11 March at TU Wien Belgian architects An Fonteyne (noA), Bart Hollanders (Eagles of Architecture) and Els Van Meerbeek (Carton123) will share their contemporary positions on how to deal with the adaptive reuse of existing buildings. They go into dialogue with moderator Lorenzo De Chiffre (TU Wien).
Until 19 April at the 12 Star Gallery, you can admire eight experimental projects by Flemish and Brussels architects that look at the existing built environment as a starting point. On the occasion of the Belgian presidency of the Council of the European Union, the Flanders Architecture Institute is organising an exhibition in collaboration with the Delegation of Flanders (Embassy of Belgium) in the United Kingdom and the European Parliament Liaison Office in the UK.
From 12 March to 13 May Archizoom of the Swiss university EPFL is organizing an exhibition about buildings based on technologies and energies that will soon be exhausted or too costly for the planet. Among the showcased projects are a lot of Belgian participants.

The Pritzker Architecture Prize announces Riken Yamamoto, of Yokohama, Japan, as the 2024 Laureate of the Pritzker Architecture Prize, the award that is regarded internationally as architecture’s highest honor.
