A+ Architecture in Belgium, the Flanders Architecture Institute (VAi) and the Institut Culturel d'Architecture Wallonie Bruxelles (ICA) are organising the Across in Residence 2024/25 residency programme. On Tuesday, 22 April, ACME, chambresdamies, Dérive, Élise Helm, esque, O.U.V.R.A.G.E.S., variable (x;y) and voor·als·nog present their work at DE SINGEL.
This year's programme is on the theme of ‘self-initiated practice’ and focuses on young Belgian architects or offices who, in addition to their work in architecture, are developing a complementary practice. The eight participating architects/offices will be guided for four months by Pauline Fockedey (Nord) and Theo De Meyer.
The programme includes three public lectures, the second of which will take place on Thursday 22 April at De Singel. After an introduction by Theo De Meyer, ACME, chambresdamies, Dérive, Élise Helm, esque, O.U.V.R.A.G.E.S., variable (x;y) and voor·als·nog present their work.
During three lectures, in addition to Antwerp in Liège and Brussels, they will have the opportunity to present their development within the project. The project will conclude with a collective action, which will be on display at D'Ieteren Immo's headquarters in Brussels in the summer of 2025.
