After five editions, the ‘Across’ lecture series is back with a new formula! This year, A+ Architecture in Belgium, in collaboration with the Flanders Architecture Institute (VAi) and the Institut Culturel d’Architecture Wallonie Bruxelles (ICA), is organising three evenings during which eight young French- and Dutch-speaking architects will present their practice in three emblematic Belgian locations: the UCL Faculty of Architecture in Tournai, the De Singel international arts centre in Antwerp and MAD the fashion and design museum in Brussels.
Under the guidance of an experienced architect, eight young architects will present one of their projects in response to a common theme: Transformation. The question will evolve across the year, culminating in a collective exhibition by the eight participants that will open at MAD Brussels on 16 June 2023.
The second session will take place in DE SINGEL in Antwerp on Thursday 16 March 2023.
In the run-up to the expo, the participating architectural practices: Every Island, Laboratoire, Linto, Pashenko Works, Bauclub, Sophia Holst, Studio Ruben Castro and Wissel Architectuur Studio, will be introduced to the public, each time with a short video. Follow the playlist on Youtube and don't miss a single presentation.
