On 25 August 2022 we will open the exhibition Table Setting #3. Architect and researcher Sophia Holst will explain her intervention and give insight into her multidisciplinary architectural practice. She will do so on the roof of De Singel. Afterwards, we will exchange further during a reception on the forecourt. Would you like to attend? Then book your place.
Vernissage
Sophia Holst will give a brief explanation of Table Setting #3 and her multifaceted approach to architectural practice. We will also reflect on the project, the elastic concept of architectural practice and the questioning of public space. Besides being the subject of the installation, the rooftop landscape of De Singel is also the setting for the opening programme, which will conclude with a reception near the installation itself on the forecourt.

Table Setting #3 Sophia Holst
In late summer, Sophia Holst will be the third architect to take part in Table Setting. In this exhibition series, young designers from Flanders and Brussels take up position on the square in front of De Singel, using a set of display tables and accompanying attributes. In Table Setting #3, Holst brings the often forgotten rooftop landscape of De Singel to the fore and in doing so investigates an untapped potential of public outdoor space on the arts campus.
