Table Setting #1 opens on 31 March 2022. The young architects from Generiek will talk about their oeuvre and the installation on the De Singel forecourt. Reserve a place for the presentation and discover the exhibition afterwards during a reception.

Table Setting #1. Generiek

In the spring of 2022, the young architecture office Generiek will be the first to participate in Table Setting. In this new exhibition series, young architects from Flanders and Brussels take up position on the square in front of De Singel, with the help of a set of display tables and accompanying attributes. In Table Setting #1, Generiek investigates the relationship between greenery and domesticity. The result is an exhibition and an installation, in collaboration with textile designer Sofie Van Aelbroeck.

Vernissage

On the occasion of Table Setting #1, Generiek gives an explanation of their practice and the interpretation of the installation on the square in front of De Singel. They interpret the frame of mind that starts from projects from their young practice, but from there questions the space between individual interventions. In this Table Setting the interaction between architectural practice and theory focuses on the relationship between green and domesticity. The resulting arrangement on the square forms the background for a closing reception.
