STUDIOLO from Ghent explores new relationships between residential buildings and urban space with playful extensions. Jo Liekens and Karolien Vanmerhaeghe present projects that are urban interventions, such as Patio Filter. This corner house with a courtyard on the first floor and a roof terrace with a view of the towers of Ghent was recently completed.

The Belgian architectural firm Frederic Vandoninck Wouter Willems Architects (FVWW ) presented projects such as the Ypermuseum in Ypres and a social housing project in Ostend.

Eva Schrade presented urban interventions by Delugan Meissl from Vienna on the Überseeinsel. The "Überseeinsel", a peninsula in Bremen, is currently one of the largest urban development projects in Europe. The lecture will explain the backgrounds and processes of individual interventions at different scales.

In his lecture, Wolfram Putz presented urban interventions by Graft Architects from Berlin. The search for an identity defines contemporary debates. Even in our built environment, the boundaries between the real and the virtual, the urban and the rural, the local and the global are being re-examined. GRAFT is interested in the effect of architecture in this field of tension.
