Together with the Kratercollective (SL) and Atelier Luma (FR), BC architects hosts a summer earth-building workshop in an abandoned construction pit in the centre of Ljubljana.
While building an on site tea pavilion, the participants of the workshop will have the chance to learn regenerative building practices in a revived construction pit in the centre of Ljubljana. The building event will include several workshops and talks with a special attention on two different techniques of building with earth: rammed earth (gravel + clay) and building with cob (fibers + clay). All materials will be sourced from the pit itself , showcasing the use of local materials in architecture and design.
The workshop is part of the design biennial BIO27: Supervernaculars. The project is a co-production of the Krater collective, the Museum of Design and Architecture and CzK.
