Dirk Somers, the founding director of Antwerp-based architects Bovenbouw presents the work of his practice on Tuesday 5 December in the Barbican during the lecture series Architecture on Stage.
Bovenbouw's work was the subject of a major retrospective, The House of the Explorer staged at the Flanders Architecture Institute in Antwerp earlier this year.(LINK) In addition to his work as an architect, Somers is a critic, a tutor at TU Delft and a professor at Ghent University.

The house of the explorerLast month Bovenbouw Architectuur has been appointed as curator of the exhibition in the Belgian pavilion at the Biennale Architettura 2020 in Venice. The Flanders Architecture Institute is producer and commissioner of the exhibition in the Belgian pavilion at the seventeenth edition of the Biennale Architettura.
