There is a continuous stream of books on architecture which are published in Flanders and Brussels. During the opening of the Biennale Architettura the pop-up salon in the Belgian pavilion is the venue of a promenade conversation with authors and contributors of recent books and magazines.
Ranging from the Flanders Architectural Review 2016, the prestigious survey Autonomous Architecture in Flanders and the exhibition catalogue of BRAVOURE, via monographs of recent work by De Smet Vermeulen, office KGDVS and architecten devylder vinck taillieu to the publications 'How things meet' by 51N4E, Building upon building and the collection of essays on Aspects of Piranesi edited by Dirk De Meyer, Bart Verschaffel and Pieter-Jan Cierkens. Françoise Fromonot (editor of Criticat) will engage in conversation with the editors of Oase, A+ and Accatone on cultures of architectural criticism and debate.
The conversation will be hosted by Christoph Grafe (Flanders Architecture Institute) and Pieter T’Jonck (A+).
