On 11 December a conference about Henry van de Velde takes place in Villa Esche in Germany.
On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Bauhaus, Flanders in Germany and Kunstsammlungen Chemnnitz organize the conference 'Ein Flame in Deutschland - Henry van de Velde's work for Europe and the world'.
The one-day event with lectures by renowned speakers takes place in the Villa Esche, which Van de Velde designed in 1902/03 for the textile manufacturer Herbert Esche and his family in Chemnitz. Scientists from the US, Belgium, Ireland, Germany and the Netherlands present their latest research results on this day and provide exciting insights into the diverse work of the Belgian designer.
