The projects of the Young Talent Architecture Award 2020 (YTAA) including work by the Belgian laureate - Willem Hubrechts of KULeuven - will be shown at Palazzo Mora in Venice during the Biennale di Venezia.
The exhibition will show all the projects with models and publications of the winning projects as well as photos, drawings, videos and images of all the shortlisted, finalist and winners.
Off the Grid” - Re/defining the urban Andes through Aycacucho’s water urbanism’ by Willem Hubrechts from the Faculty of Engineering Science of the University of Leuven is part of the exhibition. It rethinks the relation between water management, urbanization and the role of self-steering local communities in times of climate change compromising the water supply for the city of Ayacucho, Peru. It detects leftover spaces in the urban fabric and activates them as water recycling infrastructures generating generous public space.
“Young Talent Architecture Award 2020. Educating together” is a Collateral Event of the 17th International Architecture Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia presenting an exhibition opening on May 22nd and an event on 28th September 2021.
