The members of the jury from the first edition of the Brussels Architecture Prize underlined the quality of Brussels' architectural production and nominated 31 projects, in four categories.

Every two years, the Brussels Architecture Prize will reward outstanding architectural projects that contribute to the spatial quality of the Brussels-Capital Region. This prize will be awarded for the first time in 2021 and is an initiative of the Brussels-Capital Region, implemented by Urban in co-production with A+ Architecture in Belgium and in partnership with CIVA and BOZAR.

The professional international jury consists of renowned foreign architects and key figures from the international world of architecture with a connection to (or love for) Brussels. Sofía von Ellrichshausen, chairwoman of the jury (Pezo von Ellrichshausen) is accompanied by Konstantinos Pantazis (Vice-chairman, Point Supreme), Samia Henni (Cornell University), Deyan Sudjic (critic and curator), Anna Puigjaner (MAIO) and Louis Léger (BAST).

As from now you can vote for your favorite project. The project with th e most votes will win the Public Award.

The Public Award, the special awards and the winnners of the four categories: Public Space, Major Intervention, Small Intervention and Extra Muros, will be revealed on December 13, 2021.
