OFFICE Kersten Geers David Van Severen’s pavilion American Architecture (Model) is opening at Harvard Graduate School of Design.
The pavilion American Architecture (Model) aims to formalise the current social, technological, and ecological urgencies by means of an architectural project. A public square, a dedicated space for communal discourse and debate. It is made as a simple structure, a horizon of lights, and a technical box next to the iconic image of the United States flag.
The design process started in 2019 and the steel structure was produced in 2020. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the pavilion was assembled on site in July 2022.
