Belgian architect Christian Kieckens passed away on 11 May 2020 in Brussels. The Flanders Architecture Institute, that manages both its archive and its library, will open a permanent exhibition and study in November as a tribute to Christian's efforts to enlarge the visibility of architecture from Flanders.
With the Christian Kieckens Cabinet, which opens its doors in De Singel on 17 November, the Flanders Architecture Institute wants to create a place for study, inspiration and contemplation. It will be a compact and intimate space where you can consult Christian's rich collection of books in all tranquility. The idea of a cabinet ties in nicely with the way Christian Kieckens looked at architecture (history); like an endless story full of references.
More about Christian KieckensThe Christian Kieckens Cabinet is part of the Christian Kieckens archive, managed bt the Flanders Architecture Institute.
