ORG’s advisory role on connecting the IJ in Amsterdam has drawn to a close. Alexander D’Hooghe led the advisory committee.
The goal was to devise a reasonable and realisable plan that could be implemented for the connection of North and South Amsterdam.
Infrastructure methods for connecting the IJ have long been contentious, meanwhile the only linking feature – the public ferry service – becomes more overcrowded by the day.
The Amsterdam Waterways Connections Advisory Committee has endeavoured to devise new solutions.
