deSingel is an impressive piece of architecture on the outskirts of Antwerp, designed with love and respect for the arts by Léon Stynen(1899-1990) and Stéphane Beel (1955). Thanks to their brilliant architecture, experiment and large-scale production in music, theatre, dance and architecture can both be found here, in the form of performances, concerts and exhibitions, and in arts education and research. deSingel is both a place for the contemporary, critical and transdisciplinary canon and also a breeding ground for artistic creation, and new trends and insights.
