Job offer

VAi is looking for a Digital Strategist

Are you a visionary with a passion for digital innovation and culture? Are you interested in architecture or other design disciplines? Can you strategically manage IT projects and turn digital ambitions into tangible results? Our organization is seeking a Digital Strategist to bridge heritage and technology, strengthening our mission.

Digital Transformation at the VAi

The VAi manages multiple databases to make architectural and heritage information accessible. The Archiefhub provides access to archives and research data on design heritage in Flanders and Brussels. The Buildings Database offers a selection of architectural projects from the 1990s onwards. Guided by the FAIR principles, we integrate our data with external datasets wherever possible.

Heritage digitization and digital asset management are key focus areas. The VAi is exploring how AI can help automate collection management.

As a heritage institution, we also study the long-term preservation of digital documents, with a specific focus on architecture and design disciplines.

  • Represent the organization. You will expand our digital network by participating in relevant events and meetings, both nationally and internationally.
  • Organize digital events. You will develop and execute inspiring events, such as hackathons, that make architecture and other design disciplines accessible and relevant to a broad audience.
