The Visionary Architecture exhibition at Terra, the Lisbon Architecture Triennale, includes a Van der Laan Room with a new film by Nuno Cera, a selection of drawings and research by Caroline Voet.
For the exhibition Visionary Architecture at the Lisbon Architecture Triennale, Caroline Voet (KU Leuven / VOET architectuur) entered into dialogue with Anastassia Smirnova (SVESMI) on the work of Dom Hans van der Laan. They co-curated the Van der Laan Room, with a selection of drawings and a new video by Nuno Cera on Roosenberg Abbey. A ‘study table’ exposes Caroline Voet’s research on Van der Laan’s design methodology.
About Terra
Terra is a call to action facing climate cha(lle)nges, resource depletion and inequalities. For a new balance between communities, resources, and processes, they propose a paradigm shift from cities-as-machines to cities-as-organisms.
In 2017 the Flanders Architecture Institute presented A House for the Mind, an exhibition and a book about the work of Dom Hans van der Laan.
