This year, entries were reviewed by architect, educator and curator for Architecture, Urban Regeneration and Cities at Triennale Milano Nina Bassoli ; director of the Flanders Architecture Institute Dennis Pohl; and Vishaan Chakrabarti, founder and creative director of Practice for Architecture and Urbanism (PAU).
Two Belgian projects among the winners
The Belgian ORG receives the Regeneration and masterplanning award for the project Capping the Antwerp Ring in Antwerp, Belgium.
Alongside the future project categories, the awards include three further prizes, judged by AR editors Manon Mollard and Eleanor Beaumont: Competition entry prize, Student prize and Sustainable research and design prize.
This year’s competition entry prize is awarded to Collectiecentrum in Antwerp, Belgium, by Dierendonckblancke Architecten with Claeys/Haelvoet Architecten. A design that considers both civic and environmental responsibilities, proposing a solution to a challenge faced by institutions around the world.
