IMPRESSIVE SPANS. The listed sports centre of Isia Isgour, with its striking scale-roof construction by André Paduart, was in urgent need of expansion. The architects conceived a new construction of three impressive parabolic arches, covered with a white synthetic material. Two hundred skylights let in natural light. The arches ensure an expressive north-south façade in white, enamelled brick. The entrance lies in the sober east façade, opposite Isgour’s swimming pool, and leads the visitor via a monumental staircase to the lobby that looks out on the sports fields.
