The exhibition Critical Care. Architecture for a broken planet, featuring the project Caritas by architecten devylder vinck taillieu is now on display in VAi Voralberger Architecture Institute Dornbirn in Austria. The exhibition travels to Switserland later this year.
The exhibition "Critical Care. Architecture for a broken planet" is a plea for an architecture of care and cooperation. The exhibition brings together 21 examples of caring in architecture and urbanism for the 21st century and groups them along 5 fields of caring: caring for water and land, for public space, for skills and knowledge, for repair and for local production.
In each of the 21 international examples the relationship between economy, ecology and labour is redefined.
The term "critical care" refers to both intensive care and care-giving.
Other participants besides architecten devylder vinck taillieu are Lacaton & Vassal, Anna Heringer - Dipdii Textiles.
