When deSingel organised a Juliaan Lampens retrospective in 1991, his fame increased exponentially. For the occasion, a catalogue was published in which the hand of the master is present in every detail. The reissue preserves that unique status and also provides some additions, such as an actualised biography.
A monograph was published in 2010, introducing Lampens’ oeuvre to a specialized audience. This marked his international breakthrough, with his architecture soon being labelled as ‘brutalism’.
The general public became acquainted with Juliaan Lampens in 2014, when the renowned architecture magazine A + U dedicated a themed issue to the Belgian architect.
