Submitted data is for editorial purposes only, not for publication. If a project is selected for the Flanders Architectural Review N°17, VAi will contact the submitter in the spring of 2026 to collect publication materials, in wider selections and higher quality, as well as to verify data to be published. It is not enexpected to use approximations at this stage for some (still) non-final data, or lower quality images (e.g., construction site images).

We strongly recommend that you go through the form carefully and gather all necessary information and files before completing it. This minimizes the chance of unexpected errorsand unnecessary duplication of effort as a result.

Pay particular attention to:

  • Number of files, file formats, size and designation when uploading images and documents
  • Number of characters for the project description and argumentation

Onder 'architect' verstaan wij de persoon, organisatie of tijdelijke vereniging die het architecturale auteurschap van het project draagt. Locatie | Location

De redactieraad van het Architectuurboek Vlaanderen N°17 bezoekt in het najaar van 2025 alle projecten op de longlist. Voor de organisatie hiervan hebben wij de locatie nodig. Adressen, met name van privéwoningen, worden enkel gepubliceerd na de uitdrukkelijke toestemming van de architect en de opdrachtgever.
Als uw project van die aard is dat er geen exacte locatie is (en dus geen projectbezoek mogelijk) vult u 'nvt' in.

The editorial board of the Flanders Architectural Review N°17 will visit all projects on the longlist in the autumn of 2025. To organise this, we need the exact location. Adresses, especially of private residences, will only be published upon the explicit consent of the architect and the client.
If your project is of a nature where there is no exact location (and therefore no project visit is possible) fill in ‘nvt’.

Bouwkost en vergoeding | Building cost and remuneration

In dit deel vragen we naar gegevens waarvan we beseffen dat ze mogelijk gevoelig liggen.
De totale bouwkost en bouwkost per m² zijn relevante gegevens om mee in overweging te nemen in de redactie van het Architectuurboek Vlaanderen. Deze velden zijn daarom verplicht.
De velden m.b.t. de vergoeding van architecten zijn niet verplicht, maar we hopen dat u ze alsnog invult. Samen met de anonieme bevraging, die we parallel aan deze oproep uitvoeren, willen we beter inzicht krijgen in het architectuurveld achter de inzendingen.
N.B.: Ingevulde gegevens m.b.t. ontwerpvergoedingen zullen nooit op projectniveau gepubliceerd worden. Het enige dat we eventueel wel kunnen publiceren zijn statistieken hieromtrent over alle indieners heen, dus vanuit volledige anonimiteit.

In this section, we ask for data that we realise may be sensitive.
The total construction cost and construction cost per m² are relevant data to consider in the editing of the Flanders Architectural Review. These fields are therefore mandatory.
The fields concerning the remuneration of architects are not mandatory, but we hope you will still complete them. Together with the anonymous survey, that we are carrying out in parallel with this call, we want to gain a better insight into the architectural field behind the entries.
Please note: Details on design fees will never be published on a project level. The only thing we may publish are statistics on this across all submitters, i.e. in complete anonymity.

We hebben bij elke inzending een duidelijk aanspreekpunt nodig namens zowel de architect als de opdrachtgever. Deze contactgegevens worden enkel voor redactionele doeleinden gebruikt: opvragen bijkomende informatie en/of documenten, organisatie projectbezoeken, factchecking en wederhoor, etc. Contactgegevens zullen nooit worden gepubliceerd.

We need a clear point of contact for each submission on behalf of both the architect and the client. These contact details will only be used for editorial purposes: requesting additional information and/or documents, organising project visits, fact-checking and rebuttal, etc. Contact details will never be published.

Gegevensverwerking | Data processing

Het VAi biedt op zijn website een Gebouwendatabank aan. Dit is een online digitaal archief van hedendaagse architectuur uit Vlaanderen en Brussel. De Gebouwendatabank bestaat uit een publiek en een niet-publiek gedeelte.
Door uw project in te dienen, verklaart u zich akkoord dat de gegevens in het niet-publieke deel van de Gebouwendatabank worden opgeslagen. U staat borg voor de inhoud die u aanlevert en garandeert dat u bevoegd bent om de gegevens in te dienen op het niet-publieke deel van de Gebouwendatabank. U geeft de rechten waarvan u houder bent en waarover u zeggenschap heeft in licentie. U hebt ten alle tijd het recht om gegevens te laten wijzigen of te verwijderen.
Mocht het VAi door u ingediende gegevens willen publiceren – in het Architectuurboek Vlaanderen, op het publieke deel van de Gebouwendatabank of elders – zal het hiervoor eerst contact met u opnemen om de te publiceren gegevens ter controle voor te leggen. Gevoelige informatie, zoals contactgegevens, zullen nooit door het VAi gepubliceerd worden.

The Flanders Architecture Institute (VAi) offers a Building Database on its website. This is an online digital archive of contemporary architecture from Flanders and Brussels. The Building Database consists of a public and a non-public section.
By submitting your project, you agree that the data will be stored in the non-public part of the Building Database. You are accountable for the content you provide and guarantee that you are authorised to submit the data to the non-public part of the Building Database. You license the rights that you own and control. You have the right to have data changed or deleted at any time.
If the VAi wishes to publish data submitted by you – in the Flanders Architectural Review, on the public part of the Building Database or elsewhere – it will first contact you to submit the data to be published for verification. Sensitive information, such as contact details, will never be published by the VAi.
