Antonio Choupina and the Portuguese quality newspaper PUBLICò invited Belgian architecture critic Marc Dubois to write a detailed contribution on Alvaro Siza's work in the Netherlands and Belgium.
From 1 September, the newspaper Público will launch a collection on the life and work of Álvaro Siza. One by one, ten of his closest friends will tell the stories that marked his life.
This is a celebration of the 90th birthday of Portugal's most important and award-winning architect, in a collection published by Público in partnership with 100 Folhas, coordinated by António Choupina. The edition is bilingual (most of the friends who write about Siza are foreigners), consists of 10 volumes and includes an archival box.
On 1 September, the edition that includes the contribution by Carlos Campos Morais includes the archive box. On 8 September it's Marc Dubois' turn, on 15 September Eduardo Souto de Moura, on 22 September Dominique Machabert, on 29 September Francesco Dal Co, on 6 October Brigitte Fleck, on 13 October François Burkhardt, on 20 October Carlos Castanheira, on 27 October Juan Miguel Hernández León and finally on 3 November Kenneth Frampton.
