Antwerp
In the first of a series of online seasons addressing the development of particular cities, the Architecture Foundation presents a series of films focussed on the Belgian city of Antwerp. The season, which has been developed with support from the Flanders Architecture Institute and Flanders House, will comprise films about recent buildings in Antwerp as well as issues of city-wide concern.
The city's recent development has been marked by a particularly sophisticated approach to city-planning and a strong commitment to the delivery of buildings of architectural excellence. The redevelopment of the Docks and the Nieuw Zuid development represent two particularly impressive city expansions.
City Map and films
Each of the featured buildings will be added to an interactive map of the city, with each tag linked to the architect's presentation. The films will be released over the course of the next three months, and all will remain freely available on the Architecture Foundation's YouTube channel.
