Four young Belgian architectural practices organise an off-circuit exhibition with their work in Venice.
5 buildings - 4 teams of architects - 2 spaces - 1 film
The Belgian architectural practices (ae-architecten, DOUMA architecten, Perneel Osten architecten, SAMENWERK) were invited by art producer Edoardo Cimadori to exhibit their work in 2 centrally located spaces, between Giardini and Arsenale. On their turn they invited two Brussels’ film makers to create a film featuring some of their recent realisations. The architects will be present during the exhibition and produce the content for a publication.
Julie Pfleiderer and Miriam Rohde worked together with sound artist Peter Lenaerts on the film Actual Size Real Time #1 ‘Partial Views.
Vernissage 01.09.2016 / Finissage 23.09.2016
This initiative is fully funded by the movie makers (Pfleiderer and Rohde), the architects (AE-architecten, DOUMA, Perneel Osten architecten and SAMENWERK) and is encouraged by the Flemish Architecture Institute (VAi), Argos centrum voor kunst en media, and the organisations Archipel and Architectuurwijzer.
