Op 14 november geven Job Floris & Bram Aerts de lezing Transformative projects als deel van de lezingenreeks Going Public (KU Leuven).
Job Floris (MONADNOCK) talks to Bram Aerts (ATAMA) on transformative projects with pressing social, cultural and ecological challenges.
Job Floris is an architect and co-founder of MONADNOCK. His international practice focusses on the exploration of urban conditions of the city to come, through buildings, interiors and objects. Often recurring in the work of Monadnock are themes such as contemporaneity and tradition, representation and populism, convention and banality.
In 2011, Bram Aerts founded ATAMA – untill 2023 know as TRANS – together with Carolien Pasmans. After graduating from the KU Leuven, he gained professional experience in Brussels and Antwerp. With more than 15 years of expertise in architecture and urbanism, he focusses on the creative direction of the office, customer relations, communication and research. He is closely involved in all ATAMA projects, from conception to realisation, including the Leietheater Deinze, Masterplan Pelt, the Design Museum Gent, RITCS Brussels and the Dockside Tower Brussels. For various projects, the practice received (international) recognition, such as the selection for the EU Mies van der Rohe award 2019, as laureate of the Big Mat Award 2019, Belgian Building Awards and the Jo Crepain awards 2019.
