Fire Walk With Me

This year, fire is the central motif and metaphor. You gather around flames, as people always have. Fire creates space through transformation — it destroys, but it also makes things possible.

At Meer Meer, they support artistic practices in which social action — conversation, collaboration, activism — becomes part of the work itself. This approach shifts the role of the artist from maker to facilitator, and the focus from object to process.

Participants are invited to engage with the theme in their own way: concretely or poetically, through action, material, or concept.

For Whom?

Pizza Gallery is looking for up to 60 participants — artists, makers, and thinkers of all ages and disciplines. Both emerging and established practices are welcome. They are mindful of the needs of artist-parents and aim to share responsibility for care.

Programming

The program evolves with the contributions of participants. Some parts will be planned in advance, others will emerge on site. Expect live music, workshops, radio, fire technics, sculptures, collaborative kitchen, talks, in depth dialogues, performance, ... , whatever you bring to the table!
