Oproep projecten tentoonstelling XI Culture and Citizenship meeting

Call

In the framework of the ‘11th Culture and Citizenship Meeting’, the Directorate General for Cultural Rights, through the Subdirectorate General for Cultural Cooperation with the Autonomous Regions, is launching a public call to select independent national and international cultural projects related to the themes to be discussed at the eleventh edition of the XI Culture and Citizenship meeting, which will take place on September, 26th and 27th 2025 in Barcelona, so that the projects could be presented at the Exhibition and Networking Space of the meeting.

This edition of the meeting is also part of the actions leading up to MONDIACULT 2025, the UNESCO World Conference on Cultural Policies and Sustainable Development, which will take place in Barcelona from September 29th to October 1st 2025. The meeting is part of the programme ‘On the Road to MONDIACULT 2025’ and is also part of of the ‘Civic Agora’, which will seek to influence the debates at the conference itself, encouraging citizen debate on the issues on the agenda and fostering connections between local and international cultural agents, with the aim of advocating for the creation and development of a global agenda for culture and the monitoring of progress in terms of cultural rights and compliance with the 2030 agenda.

The call is aimed at innovative and independent cultural projects, as well as those promoted by young agents or collectives, from any part of the world, that are aligned with some of the three themes of the eleventh edition of the meeting.

Any person, group, association or public or private entity that leads a cultural project of a public, private or mixed nature, on-site or digital, and developed or promoted both in Spain and outside Spain, may participate.

Initiatives promoted by agents or collectives under the age of 35 will receive particular attention.

The deadline to submit projects is May 26th 2025.
