Golfclubhaus Mies van der Rohe

DREAM-IMAGE FROM THE INTERWAR YEARS between corn and beet fields. In 1930, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe designed a clubhouse on a golf course in the panoramic landscape near Krefeld, Germany, the city where he also built Haus Lange and Haus Esters. The clubhouse was never built, however. On the basis of the unpublished historical sketches, Robbrecht and Daem executed Mies’s design. The life-size model measuring 84 by 87 metres was visible on its original site from 26 May until 27 October 2013.
