SQUARING THE CIRCLE. Reaching a height of 85 metres, the elegant tower is part of the ambitious reconstruction of the historic centre of Tirana. As the building rises, its elliptic base gradually develops into a rectangle at the top. A fine-meshed grid of panels plays with the Mediterranean light. The tower has a flexible programme: it can accommodate a range of housing types as well as offices.
