The architects appear to be opting for the concept of a transparent and accessible building. This takes the form of an open plan arranged around three atria that allow for a smooth succession of spaces. There are windows everywhere.
With this police station in Schoten, Huiswerk are working on their oeuvre. Like their other buildings, this building too asserts itself by means of the intriguing intertwining of thinking and building, by rewriting literal and ordinary architectural assignments to make new images and meanings.
